Unlocking the potential of every student through cutting-edge diagnostics and intervention services that strengthen the dyslexia reading connection.
Hi, I'm Morgan Lipton, MA-CCC-SLP. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I specialize in addressing language-based learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and developmental language disorders. My services include comprehensive assessments and individualized intervention strategies that focus on enhancing reading, oral, and written language development, particularly for those affected by language-based learning disabilities.
Growing up in Chicago, I was a struggling reader myself. I vividly remember checking out chapter books with beautiful covers, only to realize I couldn’t read them independently. I often found myself hoping I wouldn’t be called upon to read aloud in class.
I earned my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from CU-Boulder in 2008, where I established a strong focus on language-based learning disabilities like dyslexia and dysgraphia. My experience spans public schools, private practice, and university clinics, where I've trained graduate-level students clinically.
Helping others learn to read and overcome challenges related to the dyslexia reading connection is my greatest passion.

At Communication Connection, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support for individuals facing language-based learning disabilities. Our founder, a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, has extensive experience in assessing and treating conditions such as dyslexia, emphasizing the importance of the dyslexia reading connection, as well as dysgraphia.

At Communication Connection, we believe that access to education is the key to unlocking human potential. Our tools and methodologies, which are rooted in evidence-based practices and the science of reading, also emphasize the important dyslexia reading connection. We recognize that every individual has unique talents and strengths, and we aim to help our students discover and develop their full potential.

Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and reporting are available in the areas of dyslexia, focusing on its reading connection, oral language (developmental language disorder), written language (dysgraphia), and articulation. We also conduct retesting for individuals with prior diagnoses in these areas. Our services extend to ongoing support for K-12 students and those transitioning to a post-secondary setting. We offer evidence-based intervention services that specifically target areas of need, as well as personalized coaching for families navigating the K-12 educational system or preparing for the transition to the post-secondary environment. Additionally, we provide dyslexia screening to assess reading abilities.

Morgan was an absolutely delight to work with. After years of not getting answers for our daughter, we reached out to Morgan for help. Throughout the testing process she was detailed and thorough and educated us along the way in what she was seeing. We finally got a diagnosis for our daughter and now have the tools and resources we need to help make school easier for her! Thank you, Morgan!
Morgan's knowledge and expertise were essential for clearly identifying and communicating my child's support needs. She was an integral member of my child's IEP team to ensure appropriate goals and accommodations were made.
Morgan recently tested our daughter and educated us about oral languages, having diagnosed our daughter with DLD. Our daughter had struggled with reading comprehension for years but until seeing Morgan, we never knew why. Morgan was very thorough in her evaluation and reached out multiple times to make sure she had a clear picture of our daughter’s challenges and struggles. The report she wrote to the school was very detailed and will be helpful in obtaining the right accommodations to support our daughter in school. Morgan is extremely knowledgeable in her field. I would highly recommend her if you’re in need of an SLP.
Morgan has an incredibly calming and wise persona, which was a gift when navigating the initial questions and doubts surrounding our daughter’s diagnosis of dyslexia. Morgan helped our daughter begin to build tools for decoding and understanding words, but more importantly believed in her and kept assuring us she would be okay.
Morgan from the very start was personable, knowledgeable, intelligent, and very attentive with my son. Morgan’s personality was very inviting, and she and my son quickly established a rapport which allowed him to be relaxed and calm during his assessments. Morgan did an extensive evaluation and was able to explain the results in an effective and easy to understand manner. She takes her time to ensure that both parent(s) and child understand the results and suggested next steps. I would highly recommend her!
Morgan's thoughtfulness and knowledge are evident in everything from her email responses (she answered my many questions via email with kindness and clarity) to the calm space she creates for testing and evaluations, which is especially helpful for my anxious 14-year-old daughter. Meeting one-on-one with Morgan post-test was invaluable for understanding the results and exploring the dyslexia reading connection, empowering me to engage with schools to ensure my child has the best tools to assist her. I am truly grateful to have chosen to work with Morgan during this important piece of my child's academic journey.
Morgan was incredibly helpful in testing for our son's dyslexia and clarifying the dyslexia reading connection, which allowed us to understand where he was struggling. With those testing results, we successfully obtained an IEP at our school for our son.
Morgan is a clinical faculty rock star! I had so much fun in this placement. She's funny, she's brilliant, and she's welcoming... While I had pre-grad school interest in Dyslexia and learning disabilities, I initially had no interest in Dyslexia Diagnostics coming into this practicum. However, Morgan has opened my eyes to the fascinating dyslexia reading connection, and now I'm second guessing that stance.
